Also, we'll activate the card swiper functionality on your account and enable it within your sub-merchant account.

Once you've got your CC swiper kit (which contains a 3 track CC swiper), here's the steps to follow:

Step 1 - We activate the CC swiper functionality in our system and enable it within your sub-merchant account. (We do this!)

Step 2 - Plug your CC swiper into the USB port for your PC or Mac (typically a laptop where you'll be using the card swiper - the front desk, business manager, etc)

Step 3 - To use the credit card CC swiper to obtain CC information, visit the credit card payment page or the "Add Card" page within an account on Fitli.com (see screens below):


Step 4 - Once you're on these screens, make SURE that you have the credit card field selected prior to swiping the card. Either "tab" to the field so it's highlighted, or click with the mouse to ensure the field is highlighted and ready to accept data (see the highlighted "Card Number" field below):


Step 5 - Swipe the card. The CC number will automatically be entered into the CC number field. The "Expiration Date" field will need to be MANUALLY entered. You can also enter the CVV code, however as of June 1st, 2017 - it is not required, but does provide an extra level of security for your customers. Requiring you to enter the expiration date is an intentional security measure, to provide that the customer is physically present and has provided you with the card, and/or authorization to charge the card. Enter these fields and click "Next", then "Confirm" once you've confirmed the price is correct. Your charge has now been processed.

If you attempt to enter a CC number and the swiper does not work, you can STILL manually enter the CC number.


Troubleshooting Tips

If you're having issues with your swiper, check these suggestions:

1. Make sure the CC swiper is plugged into a compatible USB port on your PC or Mac

2. Make sure you have the "Card Number" field selected or highlighted BEFORE swiping the card. If you don't have it selected, the card number won't be entered into the correct field.
