How to Clone Packages?

Cloning an existing Package or Membership

Are you wishing to update pricing on an existing package or membership or are you otherwise looking to create a new package or membership with almost the same information as an existing one? If yes, this feature will allow you to clone any existing package or membership and edit the details to make small changes.

Note: When a package or membership is cloned, it will create a brand new product. You would still need to be purchased to a customer’s account for any updated details (for example: a pricing change) to take affect on a customer’s account. You can deactivate the old package or membership if this cloned version is meant to replace it. If you are updating pricing on an auto-renewing membership, the auto-renewing membership with the old pricing will remain on customers’ accounts as long as the membership has not been canceled, even if you have deactivated the older version of the membership in Admin.

Cloning Active Packages

To do this, go to the ADMIN section. Click "Products & Services" on the left side and click "Packages & Memberships". Click "Edit" beside the package you want to clone.

undefined

On the "+ Edit Package/Membership" modal, click the "Clone Package" link at the top.

undefined

You’ll be directed to the "+ Clone Package/Membership" modal. From here, you can edit the package’s details and hit SAVE. Otherwise, you can just click SAVE and edit it later, as long as the package remains unpurchased. Once the package or membership has been purchased, you will no longer be able to edit certain details related to the pricing of the package/membership.

undefined

Notes: Any details that are un-editable on the original package would be editable on the cloned package. All details of the old package will be copied to the cloned package including its limitations (if it has any). Saved counts would clear out and start at 0 for the cloned package. Nothing would change on the original package.

Limit how many times the package can be purchased

Limit to X purchases per customer: settings are cloned but all customers are returned to 0 purchases and will be eligible to purchase the new cloned package (unless otherwise barred using some other limiting tool.)

Inactive after X total purchases: settings are cloned but registered purchases are returned to 0.

undefined undefined

Limit to new customers only: settings are cloned and nothing changes. Only customers with no previous purchase are able to view or buy the package.

Limit who can purchase the package

Include Clients: Settings are cloned and nothing changes. Only customers that are included on the include list are able to view or buy the package.

Exclude Clients: Settings are cloned and nothing changes. Customers that are on the exclude list are not able to view or buy the package.

Limit to existing customers only: Settings are cloned and nothing changes. Only customers who had previously made a purchase in the past are able to view or buy the package.
