Currently, the Street Address, City, State, and Zip Code fields are required on both the Business Contact Info page AND the Business Profile. On the Business Contact Info page, we require this information for obvious reasons: We need to know your business' legal information. However, it may be less clear why these location fields are required under the Business Profile. After all, it is certainly possible that a business may be entirely virtual - meaning they never hold sessions in a physical location.
While this is true, physical location is primarily required for one very important reason: Our iOS mobile app is location-based and potential local clients will not be able to find your business in the app if you do not have a valid location listed under Business Profile. Clients with an existing relationship with your business should still be able to easily find your business under "Favorites", however.
Additionally, if you set up your account, schedule classes or appointments on your calendar, and then change the information in these location fields to be invalid (eg: "Online" or "Online Only") it will revert all of your class times to display as CST because it does not have a valid location to base your time zone off of. As an example, if you are based in New York and you replace your valid location data with "Online", sessions that are scheduled at 4 P.M. will now show as being scheduled at 3 P.M.
To fix this, you would either need to remove all of the sessions from the calendar and reschedule them at the correct time OR simply return your valid location information to the location fields under Business Profile. The classes will revert to displaying the correct times automatically.
Currently, there is no way to hide the business' City and State from displaying to customers, however, you can hide the Street Address from your business profile by making sure the eye icon next to the field is toggled to grey.
BUSINESS PROFILE CLIENT VIEW
If you are an online business that is actively seeking to attract customers that are not necessarily local, you will want to drive new customers to find you using the Fitli web app on their computer or phone's web browser rather than the mobile app. Once connected to the business, your business will be easily accessible to them in the iOS mobile app.
Final Note: Make sure that your profile is viewable and searchable by turning ON the toggle to YES on your business profile. If toggled to NO, clients will not be able to find your business or access your business calendar.
