Reduce the Capacity of the Class Below its Current Number of Participants

If your business relies on specific equipment to offer your services, you know what a pain it is when one of your machines or pieces of equipment break ahead of a fully booked class. You want to reduce the capacity and allow the class to get to that new capacity on its own without having to kick anyone out of the class, if you can help it. The good news is that we’ve added the ability to reduce a fully booked class below its capacity for this exact reason!

Click the fully booked + waitlisted class on your calendar to open its profile.

In the example below, the class has 5 participants and 2 waitlisted customers.

To reduce the capacity of the class, simply edit the number on the Capacity field and hit SAVE. It should be less than the number of booked participants.

Click CONFIRM to lower the capacity of the session. 

Note: This will not remove any booked participants from the session. Participants would still need to withdraw or be withdrawn in order to get the number of participants down to the correct capacity.

A message at the top will appear that the session changes have been submitted and are being processed. The participants count will show in red with an attention icon that says the class is over capacity when moused over. Click CLOSE to go back to your calendar.

If the class has a waitlist, your clients will be notified when a spot becomes available at the new capacity, meaning that nobody will be able to book the session unless the class drops below the new capacity.
