Turn Off Cross-site Tracking in Safari, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox

2 min. readlast update: 02.29.2024

Some customers may experience difficulty accessing and utilizing the embedded calendar on the business' website. If the portal exhibits odd behavior such as redirecting you to the login page or giving you a blank screen after logging in, even after clearing your browser's cache and cookies and changing your password, it is possible that the portal is being blocked by a default browser setting called cross-site tracking.

When cross-site is enabled it prevents third-party information from being displayed, and that includes embedded third-party websites. In this case, you may need to turn it off to access and use the business' embedded calendar. If you do not want to disable this setting, you can still access the business' calendar directly on Fitli. Our customer support team can provide you with a direct booking link for the business if you don't already have one.

Here's a brief guide on how to update this setting:

For Safari Users

Safari has settings to prevent cross-site tracking. It is called "Do not track" in older versions, and "Prevent cross-site tracking" in the newer versions. Here’s how to disable the "Safari do not track" option.

1 - In the Safari menu, click Preferences.

2 - Click the Privacy tab.

3 - Ensure that the Website tracking option to "Prevent cross-site tracking" is unselected.

3 - You may need to close the browser and re-open it for the changes to take effect.
