Mobile version: Primary and Backup Payment Methods (Client Guide)

This feature will allow you to manage your card vault and your auto-renewing packages/memberships to avoid it from declining if you have any with just a few taps. 

To do this, log into your Fitli account and tap ACCOUNT at the top.

Tap ‘Personal Wallet’ on the pulldown.

Add Payment Method

Tap the ‘+ Add payment method’ link to add your payment method.

Tap ‘Add a credit card or debit card’ or ‘Add a bank account’ then hit NEXT.

Fill out your payment information then hit SAVE.

You’ll see that your payment information has been saved under PRIMARY with a confirmation at the top. You’ll also see that you have options to add BACKUP and OTHER PAYMENT METHODS.

To add a BACKUP payment method, you just need to repeat the steps above. In the example below, I’ll add a bank account. 

Note: Not all businesses allow bank payments, for more information, contact your business directly.

When done, you’ll see that your payment information has been saved under BACKUP with a confirmation at the top. You can set it as the PRIMARY or OTHER payment method, edit or remove it.

To add OTHER PAYMENT METHODS, you just need to repeat the steps above.

 

Remove Payment Method

You can have a total of 5 payment methods under your account including your PRIMARY and BACKUP payment methods. You can set the BACKUP payment method as OTHER or PRIMARY or set any of the OTHER PAYMENT METHODS as PRIMARY or BACKUP. To do this, tap any of the pulldowns on the lower left side, select any of the available options on each payment method and hit save. Once you have OTHER PAYMENT METHODS saved, you can only edit the BACKUP payment method while you can edit or remove the OTHER PAYMENT METHODS.

Note: In the iOs app during purchase, you can add a total of 5 payment methods. You can also select which payment method to use. However, you cannot remove, edit, and set the BACKUP payment method as OTHER or PRIMARY or set any of the OTHER PAYMENT METHODS as PRIMARY or BACKUP. These are only available on your mobile device. To utilize all of these features, you will need to open the Fitli website on your device’s browser.

Once the OTHER PAYMENT METHODS are removed, the site will give you the option to REMOVE the BACKUP payment method as well.

When there’s no BACKUP payment method and you have no active auto-renewing packages/memberships, the site will allow you to remove the PRIMARY payment method. Otherwise, you’ll be prompted that you have active auto-renewing packages/memberships and the site won’t allow you to remove it. Screenshots below.

In the example below, the customer has an active auto-renewing package/membership. Tap the ‘Reports’ link on the red message to be directed to your Account Balance Report.

From here, you can tap your business’ name to get their contact information or initiate or request cancellation of your auto-renewing package/membership from your business if they’ll allow it.

Note that some businesses allow their clients to initiate cancellation with or without their approval. Click HERE for a detailed guide.

 

Update Payment Method

To edit your payment method, tap the 'Edit' link under the payment method you want to edit.

On the 'Edit a credit card or debit card' modal, enter your card number to confirm or update it then enter the CVC. 

Note: You can enter a different card number or re-enter the old one if you have a new card with a different expiration date and CVC. You can also update your billing address here. If you want to copy the address from your contact info section here, tap 'Copy from Contact Info'. Or, tap 'Copy to Contact Info' if you want to copy your billing address to your contact info. Otherwise, leave them unchecked. Not entering your card number and CVC will prompt you to enter it. Screenshots below.

 
Once done, click Save, wait for the modal to close and you're done!
